How’s everyone’s summer looking? Let’s get some football discussion going. What camps are your teams participating in and what kind of numbers are you seeing?

37 Bears out so far and will be going to Evangel whenever that camp is. They been going to some 7on7 with Houston and I don't know who else.

Grove Went to 7 on 7 in Springfield....versus some big guns and faired pretty solidly . Had a 7 on 7 in Grove...Vs Mtn. Home/Thayer/MV....MV got the best of us but we got the best of MH an Thayer. We go to Mtn. Home next week and will Face WP/MH/Yellville in a THUD session. Grove is also going to Evangel this year for Camp July 21st.
There is a video from back on June 19th on the ozone...can't get link to work with copy and paste.

There are two weeks of Evangel camp this year... and the Branson Camp is a week earlier than it has been in the past.
Reeds Spring had a nice showing at Parkview's annual 7 on 7 event, losing to eventual Champ Kickapoo in the playoffs Its the only 7on7 they have done so far
They will be at Branson July 20 and 21 and Evangel the next week.

Mshaa dropped the enrollments on their web site awhile back and then removed them but looking at them it appeared we could drop to class 2

a lot will depend on what the private schools do. the enrollment numbers posted were actual before the Championship Factor was added

could be some real shake up.. Grove, Hollister, Mt Vernon, Seneca, and Ava are all near the cut line. MTV was Class 2 but has a bigger class coming so that could kick them up. Looks like it will be close either way and we may not know for sure until District List comes out.

I was told Ava has just over 50 kids so far at summer camp and they’ll be attending the Evangel camp this week. I heard they return their entire defensive line and all of their linebackers so it appears their defense should be strong this year with so many returners. They also return their kicker who made one from 41 yards out last year. They lost some good offensive players from last year but have some good athletes looking to fill those holes. I think the only question is how good they’ll be at QB.

Lamar had a camp with Pleasant Hill this weekend In Lamar. They didn’t have a few extra participants this year like last. We had more kids out than Pleasant had. Sophomore class is as advertised. I’m really excited to watch them play this year. I kinda thought it was bunk when people around town said they were a top 3 class to come through the past 12 years. But it might end up being true.
Pleasant looked solid for it being just a camp. Maybe they will build off of the 7 win team last year that made it to the St Pius game in the playoff last year.
