Ava vs Liberty is the game of the week no question, at least in the conference. Liberty's looked great but the schedule to this point has been a bit of a cake walk. Agape is one of the worst teams in the state, and Thayer with all the injuries seems helpless this year. However the Ava and Strafford score is just completely baffling. I can't wrap my head around the fact that the same Strafford team that lost to Liberty by 5 touchdowns also beat Ava. I think Ava will play a lot better against Liberty than they did Straff, but I still think Liberty gets it done. I'm thinking a 7-14 point win for the Eagles.
Outside the conference all eyes should be on Lamar and Seneca. I think Seneca might be in for a rude awakening. I think a lot of folks think they're a contender simply because they're a decent C3 who dropped to C2. I think they end up losing to Lamar by 21+.

Could be some really good games this week. Outside the league: RS and Hollister is a rivalry game. A lot was expected from Hollister this year but they are off to a slow start. Lamar vs Seneca might be a good one. Seneca would win most small school conferences, but this is not most leagues. Lamar (and Nevada) stand in their way. Third could be as high as they can get. Thayer-Salem could be interesting, but Ava vs Liberty is the only real choice for game of the week. Heck, Ava has a chance to take control of the conference only four weeks into the season. A Liberty win puts them in good shape, but also brings Grove right back into the picture.... Looking for a tight one, either way.

I think Ava vs Liberty will be a shootout. Can either team’s defense stop the others offense?

Cabool v Houston and Salem v Thayer should be close, exciting games for the fans, but the Ava v Liberty game is the game of the week. Could/should decide the conference.

Ava Vs Liberty for me. It could go either way. No outcome is surprising to me.
Seneca is a lot better, and even if Lamar wins by 21+ I think it will be close for at least a half. Seneca deserves some top 5 respect. They will if they lose to Lamar will most likely go into districts with two Ls. But it’s a very respectable loss to Lamar and Nevada. Seneca could end up putting up the kind of fight that puts it in that category for game of the week. But I have a hard time believing they score a lot. Lamar hasn’t allowed a lot of points in the past few years. And nothing so far this year. I think (even though I WANT to see a good game) Lamar wins by 21+.

It looked like a weird mental thing to me. I think a mixture of being shocked over the Adams injury, expecting an easy win and looking forward to the next week against Grove had our heads out of the game. We just didn’t look aggressive. Also the field was very slick and both teams struggled to stay on their feet running the ball. Many phantom tackles.

Looks like Lamar and Seneca took the game of the week. Not sure Liberty has ever shut Ava out.

Lamar made several mistakes that Seneca Capitalised on, Weird things seem to happen to us down on the Reservation, think they have an old medicine man that casts a spell on us or something, lol.
But make no mistake, Seneca is the real deal. They are fast and physical, can both run and throw the ball well, and well coached. If the teams from the SCA were glad they dont face Lamar in the quarterfinals this year, Seneca will prove equally hard to get past. Especially if you have to play them down there. I dont see anyone in their district giving them any trouble.
