Tarp on sideline is nice as well Tarp does look sharp. But what is real purpose of it? I would think it would almost be a slipping hazard, especially if the thing got even a little wet.

Maybe he tarp is designed not to hold water and be anti-slip, I would expect it covers up a area that get's a lot of use and doesn't grow grass well. Just a guess.

They used to have those tarps on the sidelines at Marshfield.. Talk about slipping. you would see guys try to stop on it at full speed on the sideline, hit their backside and slide 10 yards... it was an injury waiting to happen.

My understanding is that we have gotten so many sideline warnings over the years that the tarp, which is SUPPOSED to be slip resistant (we shall see), was not only a nice decoration but to keep the kids and staff on it so we don't get those sideline penalties and warnings. When Willow played Marionville in the rain nobody slid then, hope it stays that way.
