I was super wrong on that CJ/Bolivar game, but it's alright. I was going on the assumption that Bolivar was getting hot and playing good football at just the right time. Apparently CJ was too much to handle. Other than that, my other top 5 games were close games.
Mount Vernon indeed beat Reeds Spring as I had expected. That is another team that is getting hot at the right time, now can they beat Monett? I think so, if they play their best game of the year. However, I am still picking Monett.
Rolla beat Union like I had also expected. I just don't think Union saw the sort of teams that Rolla has seen, and Rolla has competed with some decent teams. It will be interesting to see what Rolla does with this Parkway West team. They are a #1 seed, but don't have the greatest record either. They stand at 7-4, and haven't beaten anyone real notable.
My Glendale/Branson pick was pretty cool. I said, 55-21, and it ended up being 56-20. That was a wild pick, lol.
Sarcoxie didn't beat Ash Grove as I had thought they would. Osage/Eldon pick was wrong, but man was it a game or what?! Glad that Eldon pulled it out, they looked like a really stout team against Catholic last week. I wish them the best of luck! I used to live in Eldon, so I gotta root for the 'Stangs. I was wrong on Cassville beating Monett, but it was more of hopes than anything. I don't care for Monett nor Cassville, but I'd root for the Wildcats over the Cubs any day. Neosho didn't get passed Nixa, but it was close. I came home and caught the end of that game in overtime on CityLinkTV. Congrats to the Nixa Eagles!
I was in attendance at Kickapoo/Rockhurst. Of course, Rock took the cake in this one. They are definitely one of the best high school football teams that I have seen live and in person. Other than a lot of penalties, they are a good team. I would be surprised if they don't win the state championship this year in class 6. They should at least make it to the title game.
