Yes , Yes , Just key on Pruett all night and don't even worry about stopping any other part of our offense , right ?? yeah right !! It's not gonna be any game plan that wins this game and it's not gonna be any one person that wins it , It'll be sheer determination and the team that wants this game the most that gets this game . I'm pulling for my Liberty Eagles , They've hung with the best that's been thrown at us so far and we've beaten every team that's bigger and supposedly badder than us and we've answered the challenge and have a perfect record to prove it . This game will be another challenge by a team that we've defeated already and they came in last time with the theory to just stop Pruett , well I hope that you've got another plan because ... How did that work LAST TIME  ? CU Friday . |

maybe you need to take a deep breath and try that again. game plans dont win games? what? keeping contain on Pruett is the way to beat you guys. im not saying he is 100% of your offense.(pretty damn close tho) im saying if we keep his legs from beating us and let our db's do their job then you guys are beatable.

LOL I wish that would have been what we keyed on last time....obviously that was not the case, because if I remember right Pruett accounted for EVERY TD you guys had week 6. Defense has to play better for grove. I thought offense was okay just can not turn it over 5 times. I think 3 of those were in the red zone. And the fact that you say "not any game plan is going to win this game" is crazy! You have the best "game plan" guy in the area....heck probably one of the top 5 in the state, so I'm sure that game plans have nothing to do with success right, might as well skip practice all week! |

If stopping Pruett was the key to winning against Liberty than why in the world didn't yall just do it last time , If he was 90 percent of the offense ?? If that was you're game plan why didn't that work ?? What I mean by Game plans don't always win games is that no matter how good your game plan is , there are always entangables that pop up and you have to be bendable and able to adjust to things that change in the games and if you can't then your sunk . It's You that need to take a deep breath and realize it's a team sport and nobody can win a game on their own . It's a good thing that the Grove coaches don't get their game plans from you . Have you even played football at the high school level before or are you one of those GREAT armchair coaches . Liberty is a team that plays with a lot of heart and our kids are taught to adapt and change to whatever the job is that needs getting done and they'll do it every time . YOU seem like you got all the answers in one sentence . And I'll back up my statement that Game plans don't win games PLAYERS do .

And I'll back up my statement that Game plans don't win games PLAYERS do . lol, ok.......... ill give you 50% correct. but you still fail. in your estimation why does a team even need a coach? just play some sandlot ball and chuck it deep? make sure and tell acklin he can take friday night off, hes not needed. but in all seriousness The player makes the tackle, but his coaches put him in position to be there to make it, cant have 1 without the other. |

You are right daddue11....I don't know anything about high school football. I don't know if you remember the game vs grove at liberty in 2012. But I was there, 4th and 1 you guys had to have a stop to have a chance to win. Grove runs a QB sneak, that went for something like a 54 yard TD to finish the game off. Oh and since I don't know anything about high school football I guess I should let you know that I was that Quarterback. The last team to beat you other than Lamar I believe except for the loss to Ava two weeks after grove beat you. But you are right, I know nothing about high school ball. And just fyi about "stopping Pruett" if he accounts for 0 TD's you guys loose, and probably big. So yes if grove stops him we win. But I am here to tell you, you don't stop athletes like that....not in the SCA. You hope to slow them down enough to get a win.
And trust me I know how Acklin coaches, known him almost my whole life. I am good friends with Jae. Not only have I played against him enough to know how good he is at adjustments (the best I have seen at the HS level)but I also played FOR him. Spent a week of practice with him and most of the Liberty staff at the all-star game....a game we do not usually win. But I can tell you this, we had a BETTER GAME PLAN than the other team and that was 75-80% of the reason that we won.
Funny that you think I am so dumb...because see you sit in the stands and watch Acklin coach each Friday night, while for two years, two weeks each year I spent HOURS and HOURS going over his tendencies and game tapes. Over and over again...and then played against him. So as stupid as I may be, I probably know more about his coaching style than you ever will.
He will out-coach almost anyone and I think he is the best around with adjustments. No arguments about that part. The man loves to win and is a fierce competitor, you will never hear me say a bad word about the man.

If I remember correctly, 2012 was the year Jaelon played with a twisted ankle and couldn't really make a cut. Fortunately, by the district championship game that Liberty won over Grove he was somewhat better. Not 100%, but better. It does take a good quarterback to make a spread offense click.
