mosooner, this didn't happen overnight. I suppose your other thread about realignment was a sounding board, of sorts? It looks like a good deal for the new Big 8. Kind of leaves the other two in a pickle. Do you think they'll find a conference home, or go it alone?

Buffalo had already found a home. They along with Hollister has already announced they were leaving the COC. They are in a new conference with Warsaw, Cole Camp and the like. Hollister was going to go independent if they didn't find a home. Bolivar is the only one without a place to go right now... Basically it looks like they are going to have to go north if they want to be in a League.

I agree. Bolivar should have been in the Large COC for years but didn't want to play those schools, consistently.

Yeah, they are on an island all by themselves... They have one last shot to apply to the OC for everything EXCEPT football... but even if that gets approved... scheduling football will be interesting... IF they can even get a full schedule they are going to have to travel...

what are the odds of them going toward Harrisonville and finding games in that conf?

that is what they are going to have to do in order to find enough games. They said they had no interest in joining a conference up there... but in order to find teams to play that is exactly what they are going to have to do... I would think they will be able to find early season games... but games late in the year might be a little tough.

with the Big 8 expanding to a full schedule of conference games there will be a few teams open. I know MG has played one of our games against them the last 4 years(cassville and Aurora) and Liberty played Aurora as well. so that leaves a whole in the schedule for 2 SCA teams. honestly i could see both teams playing early in the season. as the last 7 games are for SCA conference games
