The Good Ole day's but alas they are gone!!

I remember opening night.Folks would be on there till early in the am talking about the games.

THis board has been busier this week than any opening week I've seen on THIS page. But like you all said the old SCA site, ran by Mr. Pierce from Houston, was a VERY busy place till towards the end. I was one of those trying to read and catch up on every post before I went to bed, only to see it was 1:30 a.m. I'd have multi messages from all over the conference as we watched the adrenaline rushes We have 6 new members this week so far, I hope that trend comes up. We have had SEVERAL views, but few responses. Even the facebook pages are slow. I'd MUCH rather discuss HS Football than politics or anything else Facebook blows up. The Old SCA site is how I got to make some good friends from other towns Bobcat61, Eagletimer, Jordanearl, BulldogDad to name a few. I still hear from these guys to this day. For those who "just read" please, come in and post something. It dont matter if anyone disagrees with you it creates discussion and shows support for your communities. At one time there was a poll for the best message boards in the state. The old SCA blew MoSports off the map, which finished 3rd behind the Ozark Conference site (which died before the SCA one did, bigred tried to keep it up but Pierce pulled the plug). Unfortunately the old SCA site got nailed by hackers, and I was informed it was the 2nd time it got hit hard and all the info was gone. I googled the sca letters before I created this site and talked to many of the old posters before I named it. The sca letters (at least at the time) had something to do with crap in the middle east. So I came up with the name southern missouri, hoping folks from old sites in other conferences would make it one big happy Ozarks home. Our friends from Reeds and Lamar are all we got. I even invited some West Plains folk in, but we are "too small" for them.

I am preaching to myself on this because I haven't -but we need to spread the word more as many who were on the old sites have graduated their kids and they've moved on. A few of us old sticklers are still around. I have advertised some on facebook and I think that's were the 6 new members came from. And like MGHS said, with all the crap of 2020 I was sure hoping "old school sports talk" would come back. Everyone is welcome here. I can not (unlike mr pierce could) dig into profiles and see who is who other than their email address. So if you want to remain anonymous (Ballinfreak!) and use an email that dont have your name on it, I will not have a clue who you are. Many of us though have done an introductory and know each other by name. The only thing I don't allow is foul language and bashing of kids/coaches.

And the original board started in 05, and because of the anonymity got much more heated than Facebook ever could. It was fun while it lasted, and it lasted for over 10 years! But I don't think we'll ever recapture that. And to MGHS's point I very much remember spending 90 minutes plus typing out 8 paragraph posts arguing very important topics such as the rise of the most dominant team in this millennium, the Liberty Eagles. It was a great time watching Liberty go from the cellar to the mountain top and watching fewer and fewer MG posters show up year after year. 

Ah, good ole Faded! He was disappearing about the time I came along. He sure could get people riled up! I think he was from Houston? 

I know we also had our least favorites on there but I dont ever remember anyone liking ThAt KiD fRoM sAlEm ThAt TyPeD lIkE tHiS! 

The good ole days may be gone but we shall make a better future!

Maybe we can get close to that level in the next few years. It is strange how people have fallen away and lost their passion for enjoying the Sca board and high school football. 

We need some crazy Moms....what was the mom of the WS bear Lineman that had a aneurysm when Ary left and really posted like crazy...didn’t she even write for some paper or something?
