Fire away folks. Conference play begins this week, should make for some dandy opening games! And a quick reminder, you must post on the board at least 25 times this fall, not just over 25 on your profile (I have the records) or just this thread. If you wait till 2 weeks to go and post a word per post to run up the count, they WILL NOT be considered. If you are a previous winner you are still eligible to play (BWPlucky, Bonehead). The game of the week CAN be out of the conference, it only has to be from MoSooner's pick em contest. Having said that, if you are intrigued by a game elsewhere and want to discuss feel free to do so. You wont get any score for it but it does make discussion  Any posts by myself (employees not eligble, lol) do not count even if my score/game is the closest. Good luck everyone! I big time messed up last week, shows how much I know, lol. So..... Mtn. Grove is 1 point away from being 2-0 with a loss to a very athletic Caruthersville team, and Grove put up some good points. Everytime them and Ava clash the scores are low and super close. Ava just did beat Strafford by the skin of their teeth, and lost to Buffalo by a little as well. Scoreboard watching is a football sin but its all I got to go on. This game is at the hill, but I'm going to take the Grove in an upset 20-14 for Dew's game of the week to kick off conference play. Let the backlash begin as I will get laughs from my Ava people and angers from the Grovers for jinxing them  |

How is Ava QB??? Heard he is a bit gimpy. Your FB looks dang good, almost as good as Meyer. #44 as one of your A's is fast as lighting and strong to boot. OL and DL are better than last year IMO. We lost a two way multi year starter OL/DL to a season ending injury. I'd say it will be a up hill battle for us all the way. |

If West Plains still has all those guys out from the you know thingy then that game against Rolla will be GOTW..27-25 West Plains.. Same for Bolivar and Lebanon that should also be a great game. First game of conference play for the SCA is always Very good games and it doesn't look like any runaway teams this year!!!

Well, I was like Dew and went with Pleasant Hope last week. Hopefully will pick a better one this week.
Two games intrigue me. First, Houston and Salem. Is this finally the year for Houston to break the streak?
Second game, Mt. Vernon and Reeds Spring. Is Lamar really that down or is Reeds Spring a little better than folks like me thought? I’m going to go with a little bit of both.

Vernon 27 Reeds Spring 21 Reeds Spring might not be as good overall as they were 2, 3, 4 years ago but I think it is safe to say that they are much better than many people expected them to be this season. Not big on numbers, the kids, they have play extremely hard. and are as good as anyone in the league at a couple of spots. They are not afraid to be physical. The Lamar-RS game was hard hitting.. more than a few were feeling it Saturday Morning |

Im going with Liberty @ Thayer. Could be way off but I think this is a game both teams look at on their schedule and get fired up for. Ill take Thayer in a close one 14-13.
