Believe it or not districts start NEXT WEEK! I definitely appreciate you all doing this with me. Having said that many of you have not hit 25 posts THIS SEASON yet (eligbility for prizes). Here we go for the last week of the season. Good luck y'all!
Willow at Ava
Grove at Thayer
Cabool at Salem
Liberty at Houston
Rogersville at Reeds Spring
Catholic at Hollister
Springfield Central at Forsyth
Nixa at Carthage
Camdenton at Rolla
It has been 2 weeks, will Willow be rusty or hungry? Ava moved the ball some even with a #3 QB against Thayer but they aren't the Ava they have been. I do believe the Bears win it, but which ones? It could be rainy and cold on The Hill. That usually doesn't bode well for opponents. But if I remember right the last time we beat Ava it was in that weather. It's my game of the week pick (though my votes don't count). If Willow wins it's a low scoring upset 14-7. If Ava wins it will be 20-12 something of that nature. - *does an actual coin flip and it said Willow

I’ve never seen an Ava team this injured. I think our top 3 players are out for the season with a couple more players injured too! Our underclassmen are showing a lot of promise for the future but being young comes with growing pains such as fumbles and letting the opposing team recover 3 onside kicks. I’m sticking with Ava in this one in a low scoring game. Ava 20 Willow 16

I'm going Rogersville vs RS.....LoRog has been winning without a lot of fanfare and RS is solid. I'm interested in how this will shake out. While the Ava vs WS game is interesting because Ava has lost all their skills....let's see how legit LoRog is
LoRog 28 RS 21

Hey Dew,
Is it 25 posts overall, since the start of the season. Or, is it 25 posts just on the GAME OF THE WEEK posts? (this one counts either way.. )

Some really interesting matchups with some sidebars this week, especially on the out of SCA games.. Reeds has only won two games all year, Rog has only lost two games all year, However, most everyone thinks that stat is a little misleading and the game will be competitive. Wolves can finish anywhere from 4-6 in the district. Lots of tiebreakers will end up placing teams in that race. Hollister vs Catholic will really be interesting. So little is still known about Catholic because of their three week vacation. Hollister has a chance to host a District game for the first time ever. They could finish as high as third. You all know where Catholic currently sits. They will get a bonus once again for playing a Class 3 school. Central at Forsyth. Its crazy but the Panthers could still get the number one seed in that district. I saw Central in its one game vs the Flexbone this year and it was not pretty. Guess what offense Forsyth runs. And, still, there is Nixa vs Carthage. Nixa trying to show that they are a continder. Carthage could actually pass Webb City and get the number on seed in that district with a big win. Its going to be a fun week... As for MY pick for Game of the Week.. I need more time to think it over... too many possibilities....

For those asking - it's 25 posts this season anywhere on the board, not just this subject. I did that for the purpose of bringing this site back to life, which was working good at the beginning. Even those on facebook aren't using that much either other than score updates and the weekly prayers. Our kids deserve our supports and it's a great way to get away from all the political post bs's. Either this evening or tomorrow I will update the # of posts for everyone. Those #'s are in my desk at home, I'm at work. Shhhhh

Wow, where has the season gone? I think this week I am going to pick Liberty and Houston, just a gut feeling this is gonna be a good game. If memory serves me correct, Houston upset Liberty last year and caused the district standings to go crazy. I think Liberty get revenge this year...
Eagles 27 Tigers 18

Gave most of my thoughts for this weeks matchups above... could possibly pick three or four different games for game of the week... I am going to go with Hollister vs Catholic... I actually changed the winner of this game as I was typing up my picks... I have decided to go with Hollister converting late and converting on a two point coversion to get the victory at home.. Hollister 22 Catholic 21.
