Who would have thought before the season started we would make it this far?.. Most guesses seemed to be Week 2 or 3 before a shutdown.. Congrats to Thayer and Liberty on District Title.... I have talked about the young guys at Grove for a lot of the season, they really came on.. Watch out Next Year...

By the way, I never did get the pizza story! Cassville 24 Buffalo 20 on a hail mary pass with 2 defenders on 1 reciever yet he comes down with it - oh wait, wrong Buffalo... Jeff City Private School Helias 28 West Plains 14 Webb City 40 Lebanon 14 I may be wrong (again) but going with the fighting white squirrels on this one Marionville 24 Windsor Canadian21 Yes I picked against a couple local teams, but it's ok to prove me wrong. Ava got past Lamar last year but can Liberty get there or is that "block" still there? Jeff City Helias is #1 in the state and a Private School. If WP pulls this one off they will win it all. |

Dew the Pizza incident happened in the 2013 Lamar at Mt View Liberty game or after game. Basically what I can remember Lamar after games would always have a short snack or sandwiches after away games. This year the team ordered Pizza from Pizza Hut that were delivered to the game. Lamar had brought some folding tables and had them outside the locker rooms but still near where fans would walk past in leaving the game. I did a search for Pizza on mosports website and it produced 10 pages of results. Page 7 or 8 had the following post. I think it was from a MT. View fan.
In regards to the pizza thing all I know is some woman from MV had a meltdown in front of the Lamar team who were eating pizza in front of our locker room and generally milling about. I think she stole a pizza and put on quite a show. I never did hear who the person was, which is strange in our small town. I think she might've been a senior's mom, so she had seen her kid lose to Lamar 4 times in a row. Probably wasn't the most level headed person to begin with, as anyone from any town would say that isn't the best representation of our community.

I thought more than one MV fan who got them some Lamar Pizza but maybe that is just a bit embellished in the retelling of the story....I do recall it was a bit of a fuss at the time. AHHHH good times....good times.
