I know some posters were asking for the recording of the Ava/Lamar game so I thought I'd put it here. The Ava defense did what I thought they would do. They struggled to stop the Lamar offense but were able to force a few turnovers. The Ava offense struggled moving the ball against the strong Lamar offense (losing Skyles early really hurt) but even with the offensive struggles, the offense had the ball in Lamar territory multiple times but couldn't finish the drive. Overall it was a good game to watch and I want to wish Lamar good luck as they advance in the playoffs. Link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ql9qmjZbkg

Enjoyed watching the game again and listening to the Ava broadcast. The play by play and color analyst did a great job, Ava fans should feel fortunate to have two very good broadcasters doing their home games. Will try to remember to watch some of the Ava games next year. Ava’s run first philosophy and physicality would be a good fit in the Big 8.

Link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ql9qmjZbkgNow, I know this may sound cocky, I don’t mean it to be. It’s just what I observed and after watching it again. Lamar didn’t play that well. I also would say those refs were terrible. I couldn’t count the amount of times Ava was gifted with forward progress and was tackled for loss in that game and was given no negative yardage. Even Ava’s announcers noticed it throughout the game. If Lamar didn’t have some really ugly turnovers that wouldn’t have been close, it would’ve been a turbo clock. Ava was actually really lucky it wasn’t turbo clocked. I don’t think even if Ava was healthy it would’ve been close. But that’s just what I watched. One of Ava’s TDs was off a return of a ugly turnover. Just want more from my tigers. LSC and Richmond could possibly be good enough to win if we do those things against them.

I agree if not for the Turnovers Lamar could of Turbo'd Ava. Lamar made the game closer than it really was with their own mistakes. Lamar dominated the LOS on both sides for most of the game. Ava's lack of passing attack made it easy on Lamar from a schematic perspective. Ava lack of ability to even complete a simple pass doomed them from the start. Lamar is clearly the better team by a wide margin. Ava battled hard and gave it their all but the talent on Lamar was to dang good no doubt. But with that said I didn't think the officiating was all that horrible. They gave Ava one really good spot early....but the Face mask, late hit on the Kickoff and the Illegal procedure's, encroachment, looked legit as did the holding calls. They missed a hit out of bounds on Lamar but it is a playoff game. Don't forget unless you get a ground level view the angle and perspective from above is skewed on the spot. I didn't see anything egregious in regards to the spots. I'm not saying it was a Great called game by any means but terrible is a bit biased of a analysis. It was a normal called high school game IMO. I'm also curious as to why the offensive change to a Shotgun Wing-t/Double wing system? And who is the OC and DC for Lamar. And Most of all WHO is the Weight room coach?

Beshore calls the offensive plays, Chris Willkerson is the defensive coordinator and Thad Lundine is special teams\weight room coach.
