Thayer QB was as good as any QB in the conf and to just be honorable mention is a joke
Looking at max preps the back of the year had 333 yds passing and 783 rushing???
Another joke.
Thayer RB and the freshman from Ava were both better than that.

Well you do realize that coaches sometimes don’t promote certain players..or promote multiple players at the same position and that can split votes and that players can’t be offensive and defensive all conference so choices have to be made. Not to mention that certain coaches form alliances etc.
So with all that I still think it’s pretty good all conference shake down compared to other years.
I do agree Pitts was good and better than HM but Richardson was gonna get QB he drove that offense and Ava won the conference and without him Ava isn’t even SCA champs. The Freshman was a by product to a degree of the great Ava OL and the 3 other RB/QB. And he has 3 more years to rack up hardware that does come into factor.

How was Grimes from Thayer 2nd team SCA? He was in the top 10 in the ozarks for stats. Also Landry getting HM was a joke. Sorry to bring up old news but still doesn’t make any sense.. lol

It’s not complicated on Landry P. he wasn’t better than the other two QB and he lost to both teams that fielded the other two QBs.
Grimes was in the running with the two WR clearly, I’d say Ripko got a bit of MVP respect. And Glenn was pretty good at the Run and WR. Coaches like dual threat guys.

I'd suspect a lot of people down Thayer way feel that way...but Clearly Coaches around in the SCA didn't feel that way. I agree some what IMO he was a better QB than the AVA Running back playing the QB position. But in the flexbone the QB is the main cog so from that perspective I can see why he got the votes from the coaches.
