Well the end of the Football season will officially happen this coming weekend. Oh my how it went fast and how quickly the traffic on this board has started to wane. I thought that there might be some chatter over the All conference picks as that is the Norm but really the only comment was from bonehead. Now the Lame arse winter solitude of the hardwood will begin and it will drone on and on and on start of the season tournament, Holiday Tournaments, mid season tournaments and Finally district tournaments, plus 2 or 3 games a week in between up until Spring. The never ending season of Basketball.......How in the Heck is Bball season cover 5 freaking months...nearly half the year? To long....to mind numbing sometimes. Don't get me wrong I like to watch and root for a bit of hoops. But compared to the build up and anticipation of a FRIDAY NIGHT it is weak weak sauce. It's just not the same and it doesn't even compare.

If I were in charge football would be mandatory at EVERY school
There will be some powerful teams in the sca this year and the conference will be strong in basketball. So that much will be worth looking forward to. But I'm like you, Football needs to be MUCH longer. And in most states it is. Those kids therefore get to see more games, more reps, more experience hence why colleges head to those places more than Missouri. For example, had a cousin who lived in Texas who played TWELVE regular season games on a freshman team, had their own playoffs, etc etc.
