Solid showing at MH. Still room for improvement in areas. Evangel next will be missing some Key guys which isn’t a bad thing as we can work at creating depth.

I’m hearing cautious optimism that Ava could be very good this year as long as they can stay healthy. The injuries last season forced many underclassmen into Varsity roles and gave those young kids valuable experience. The Bears seem to be loaded with speed and depth in the backfield. This roster reminds me of the 2021 team that had Richards, Skyles, Adams and Mendel in the backfield. Lots of options with speed. Other than staying healthy, the Bears need a couple more big guys to step up on the OL and to see some offseason development out of their now sophomore QB who is the typical model QB for Ava who can run the triple option well but can also pass.
