Ava just lined up and kicked our teeth in and made us like it. Might as well give them the SCA trophy. Its a wrap.

Guess the love and fan fare in Cabool took a hit. They were getting a little big for their britches. Time to come back to reality.

Seneca 28  Lamar 14

I was at the game, it was as expected, a physical hard hitting game. Here are some observations, as whoever comes out of the SCA may have to face one of these teams.  Seneca is class 3 this year, so may set up a battle with Ava at some point?  Lamar still class 2

Seneca is a senior loaded team,  with everyone back from last years semi final team, but they are a year older, stronger and faster, So yes they are better than last year.  They have a physical run game, but also have 2 tall senior recievers who are good, and a 3 year starter at qb who can get the ball to them.  Lamar did pretty good at stopping their run game, but had no answers for their passing game.  Only weakness on seneca is their special teams,  after kickoffs we started around the 40 every time.  They will make a deep playoff run 

Lamar right now is not quite as good as last year, we lost a lot to graduation, but still pretty dang good.  our starting QB was out,  but the backup had playing time last year, and is a good athlete in his own right.  They will be fine, and continue to improve and will probably make a deep playoff run also.  with games with cassville, nevada and mac county coming up,  its possible they could loose one of those games, go into districts 7-2 and still roll through districts.  Nevada is the toughest team remaining,  they are state ranked in class 4.   Lamar mainly need to improve on pass defense.
