Division One,,,Reeds Spring, Catholic, Rogersville, Mountain Grove, Liberty, Salem, Ava Division Two...Willow, Thayer, Cabool, Houston, Hollister, Forsyth, Strafford.
We go to a 14 team 2 division conference.... We start with the current breakdown. Every year you play every team in your division AND two teams in the other division (as non-conference games) that will allow you to play ONE other game against a team of your choice.
Every two years the two teams from division two with the best records will move up to Division one and the two teams with the worst records in Division one will move down to division two.

I hate having to go to the bootheel, probably as bad as they hate coming up here. Those that have a problem in the SCA about the sparse Springfield media coverage would get more of what they want too. I like the idea of moving up and down divisions according to record. It would give a team a chance to rebuild without getting pounded every week, I know we (Liberty) has been there. I call dibs on keeping it the SCA, we're one of the oldest continuous conferences in the state. There would be obvious scheduling benefits in all sports. There is no use in Liberty playing in some of those 25-5, 25-7 volleyball games with Bunker, or Kosh. I'm sure there are a thousand questions to be answered, but would other sports in this hypothetical conference move up. or down independently of football. Some schools excel in different sports than others.

Licking would be a good place for football, but I doubt that ever happens.

Only problem I see with this is,you have 2 Class ones playing 12 other teams that already are Class 2 and 3.With the new yearly class rankings Cabool and Thayer could be playing a bunch of 3's and maybe a couple class 4s.This in my opinion would just wear them out physically not to mention injuries.

I can see where you are coming from.. But those Class one teams would have to be in the top 2 of that other division before they worry about playing the bigger schools.... Also, There are NO current Class 4 teams listed.
I realize this will not happen... but could be fun.

I know it won't happen, but still what if it did.You got towns like Hollister and Strafford and Forsyth on the edge of Springfield, look at Grove and Ava as well, they have jumped up and down in class.Since class size will be done yearly instead of every 2 years it could in that one year mean a lot of 3s and 4s for a couple small class 1s.

If Thayer consolidated with Kosh, or Alton they'd probably be class 2 or 3.
