OK, so I'm no student of high school football, but where did these guys come from? You normally hear the same schools every year in the upper echelon, but I don't recall this school in the mix lately.

From what I have heard is they hired the class 6 CBC(also a St. Louis school) head coach. When he came over he brought some ball players with him. That's all hear say. If I remember right a couple of years ago CBC played for the class 6 championship.

He wasn't the head coach, he was an assistant coach and 5 or so boys went with him. I believe a couple came from one of the other St. Louis teams also. My personal thought is that the players were young and would probably not play varsity for a couple years on the bigger teams. The coach recruited them and told them they would be able to play immediately on Trinity's team. It costs between $9,300 to $10,000 per year to go to Trinity. I'd be shocked if any varsity player pays much of anything. Not sure how this is fair with players on private school teams getting to switch whenever they want. If you could recruit the top players from Grove and Liberty and stay in class 2 they would be unstoppable. Class 3 basketball is about the same. Grove found that out last year. Look at the last number of years and most of the final four teams are private. Barstow, a KC private school lists their players and tells where they live. They're kids from all over the KC MO & KC KS metro area. Not sure what to do because if MSHSAA boots the private schools they would really recruit.

From what I have been able to find.. It looks like they got some good players to transfer in and basically build a football team. Some of them were the top players at their old school. That seems to happen at some of these PRIVATE/CHARTER schools in STL. It gives more fuel to those who want the separation of private schools in their own league.

After watching the Lamar/Trinity Catholic game yesterday, I can say this. Trinity has NO CLASS what so ever. Their fans were nasty, their players were even nastier and the biggest bunch of babies that I have seen. There were several cheap shots, and I don't mean simple stuff. They were trying to hurt Lamar's players. After the game during the trophy presentation to Lamar, Trinity had some players laying on the ground, bending over acting like children, etc. #11 was the worst of all, squatting down and throwing a fit. Lamar players and even coach Bailey tried to talk to him, and he wouldn't shake their hands, or give them the time of day. Rude, unsportsmanlike, and not Catholic like either. I was real embarrassed FOR them. Myself and others in the stands were saying that we'd like to give some of those kids a piece of our mind. They got 2nd place, and that is still saying something. Lamar won, get over yourselves! Lamar was deserving, and you guys recruit (basically). Trinity's coaches allowed their players to act like that, and I hope they don't make it back to a championship in these recent years. Until they graduate some of these ridiculous 'actors'.

No slomo he really isn't. I wasn't at the game but I've heard this same story from everyone there. That kind of behavior should never be allowed by a coach.

I think you're probably overreacting there BK I wouldn't overact for a team that isn't mine (let alone my own team). Plus, Lamar won. So, I would have no reason to do that If you don't believe me, you can go read MoSports and see the same stuff from fans who aren't from Lamar either. I call it as I see it, and Trinity was an embarassment to themselves. Nobody wants to see that unless they are a poor sport too. I realize you and others from View wanted Lamar to get squashed but it didn't happen. No reason to throw fire at me for calling what I and others saw. mosports.forums.rivals.com/threads/trinity-lineman.28012/

Inter city kids are normally a little more spoiled and expect to have everything handed to them. They did show their true colors.

Gives us more stature to at least be knocked out by the best in the state.

Im not trying to through fire on anyone, and I don't really care who wins. I wasn't rooting against anyone. I think the people on Mo Sports are overreacting too. Needless to say I think there is a little culture shock.

I had a buddy go to the game, everything BK is saying is very true, he texted me during the game and right after saying he couldn't believe the coach was letting players act that way. it wasn't everyone of them but a definite handful.
