Ask me this question 3 weeks ago I wouldnt gave you 10 cents for the season nor did I think we'd have one. The kids have bonded together and decided they were gonna make something of it and not let football die here. 31 kids out and I'd like to have more, but... we got a pulse!!! The kids have worked HARD and got more to do, but they been having fun with it too. Only time will tell how good/bad we do but with the conference being down this year there's no reason we cant sneak out a few wins and maybe (as I say this every year and be wrong) pull off an upset somewhere. 5-4 in 2017 before districts at least. And I know this aint a prediction thread (as I have no clue) but many folks our way are leaning on Ava to win it all.

Was happy with what I saw from the Wolves at Branson camp.

Luke hardman graduated but dont worry. We got another hardman that i think wil be the main back along with cooper lucas. I counted at the state game last year i think we have 6 back on each side. Losing the whole secondary is gonna hurt

6time, I would say that Lucas, McKarus and Danner will get the majority of carries, especially in the big games. The line will be as deep and talented as any Lamar has had. But, like you said, losing all those athletes from the secondary will be the most challenging part. By what I have seen in the St. Louis Post Dispatch, Trinity Catholic and Lutheran North have been busy recruiting so, "if" we make it that far, I have heard we would meet in the semifinals this year.

How are the participation numbers looking for the SCA Schools? Some finished with some low numbers last year. Curious if any SCA Schools will be fighting that numbers battle?

As mentioned 31 so far for Willow, I drove by Cabool one day and counted 27 but I dont know if all were in attendance or not.

Thanks Dew! I am anxiously awaiting some thoughts of some of the veteran board members, on how they see the SCA finishing this year. Amazing how fast the season is approaching. My favorite time of the year.

Grove has already had some injuries but that's to be expected in football. Broken arm has been worst so far. Grove is VERY young. Starters aren't set at all except for a few spots
