Hey everyone, it is that time again for weekly pregame prayers. I dont have the exact # but I believe we are close to 10 years of doing this across the SCA/Southern Missouri. We have quite a few weeks scheduled of participants but we still need at least 1 from Cabool, Houston, Salem, and Thayer. How neat would it be if all 8 SCA towns had a participant, which would be a first. If you wish to participate you can contact either myself or Eagletimer.
2017 Football/ Fall Sports Pregame Opening Prayer
Father God, thank you for being the God that you are and the gift you gave us in your son. As we come before you in thanksgiving and prayer for another high school sports season Lord, we ask blessings and well being for all who participate. Sometimes Lord we think of our favorite team(s) and athlete(s) as the greatest things. They are not, you are. Without you there is not a thing possible. We can do anything through you who strengthens us. Lord let it be your will that all our student athletes participate with the best of their ability and with all their heart. And let it be your will that they keep their health in doing so. May they have a sharp mind. May they communicate well and give a good ear to their coaches who will guide them. May every one of them be supported and encouraged for their efforts by the families, friends, and long time fans. Lord we all know this is competition, that there will be winners and losers along with final scores. But with you the final score is ALWAYS in our favor. You paid for all of us through your son, so along with this victory we get free admission. Lord protect those who protect our freedoms, and protect our nation that we may continue to enjoy American things such as high school sports. As you created Israel and protected them I have faith you created America and protect us, and we definitely thank you for that. No matter our rank and position it's always great to be on your team.
