This in a year where many of us have talked about the league as a whole being down a little. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out... Do glad its football season.

I'm not sure why everyone is saying the league will be down. Ava and Grove field their best teams in years and Liberty returns possibly the best offensive line they've ever had. I think it will be a great year for the SCA. Are we as good as the Big 8? Doubt it. But we're still the best collection of Class 2 and under Teams in the state. Have been for years. If you think this will be a down yr in the SCA you aren't paying attention.
In regards to half the conference being ranked I'd say that's happened more than a few times in the last decade.
I'm ready to get things rolling tomorrow!

I figured we'd be down as a conference due to graduation of key players off teams. Having said that I've seen a few mosports posts about other schools graduating a lot and none more than Kickapoo who has a new coach as well. So who knows how it will play out. One thing is for sure, quoting the great Chris Berman "that, ladies and gentlemen, is why we play the game"
Go get em SCA, may we be 8-0 come Saturday

Jury is still out on this being groves best team in years..we have good skill position players..i agree..but our line is young and a little inexperienced...ava is gonna be salty..and liberty has very good upfront but having to replace 1 of best QB's to come of SCA

I know Summer is Summer and Camp is Camp... and while Grove could very well make some noise this year, what I saw at Branson Camp was FAR from Grove's best team in years.. don't get me wrong, that is as much praise from what Grove has done than it is down on this years team. |

This is not Groves Best team in years at this time. Can things change and teams gel and become better than the individual parts? Of course that can happen. |

Of course that can happen. very well stated, and of those who watched or helped coach these boys from flag football on we seen back then we would be short of linemen but you never know how these kids will grow or become. the right mix and skill set on line with some good coaching will go a long ways |
