I don't understand Cabool at all....every year the dogs play MG Like their lives depend on a win, which in most years is a futile effort. But then when they actually play teams they could beat they put out a lesser effort. If cabool would play as hard as they did tonight they could beat teams like Willow and Houston.
It makes no sense. I've seen this patter of behavior from that program for years. Put all your effort into a long shot and relax versus a winnable team.

Well, they did have that one win a few years back against "THE GROVE".Which is still talked about. So they need to accept the loss and try to beat 2 other teams in the SCA?

No he's saying they need to play hard every week. Maybe they would have more then 100 fans show up to their games if they did

It reminds me of Wichita State vs Valley schools during basketball season. When the Valley schools play each other they don't seem very sharp but when Wichita comes to town, the MVC schools give the Shox everything they have.

Bobcat61 Jordan right your wrong....I said they played harder versus us even though they have minimal chance....and then mail it in versus very winnable games. Why give a 100% playing a squad that you know your 100% is not enough but then give 50% effort versus teams you could beat! Illogical and irrational decisions.

Teams also play harder vs their arch rivals regardless of record as well. I'm not going to get on cabool's case because they arent the only SCA school to do this. Intimidation factor, love it or hate it, is part of the game. During Coach Bowie's worst years we still gave West Plains all they could handle, but wouldnt even try to play Salem, hence the scoreboard being what it was. Cabool, Willow, Houston have all get to get their kids to believe in themselves and bring a football envioronment to their towns. Houston is trying that with some new ideas and only time will tell, Willow is trying to bring back some old tradition and we do have people coming to the games. When you give up on your kids you are giving up on not only your town but yourselves as well. And yes some schools can use a new coach, assistant, AD, or whatever at times (not change every stinking year) but winning traditions and ideals start at home.
