Long time no see everybody! I pray everyone is well and life is beautiful for you! Dew reached out to me about posting this week's prayer, and I am honored. No matter where I live, the SCA community will always have a special place in my heart. -SBG33
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for blessing us all with another night of football and fellowship. Keep all who are traveling safe to-and-from the games. Give our coaches the wisdom necessary to give encouragement and play calls to the players. Give the referees wisdom to be fair in their calls. Give the players wisdom to play for your glory, not theirs; to help their opponents get up after a fall, nor to bring harm to their opponent through malice. Give the fans wisdom to cheer with encouragement for their team, not derogatory toward the opponent. Lord, we wouldn't have the opportunity to enjoy another week of football if it wasn't for you. We thank you for Your kindness and mercy in our lives. I pray that even on oerson's Christ-like actions tonight will create a ripple effect through other players, coaches and fans. Keep these boys safe on the field. Give them vigor to play hard for Your name! And for half of the teams who will "lose" tonight, gently remind them that they are still winners in You! We love you Father, and we are so grateful for Your love for us.
