2. Strafford
3. Mountain Grove
4. Liberty
Mtn Grove beat Strafford
Liberty beat Mtn Grove
How is it fair for both Mtn Grove and Liberty to be behind teams that they beat head to head?

This whole point thing has been greek to me this year. I know that Sarcoxie and Pierce City are undefeated but Thayer has played up all year except 1 game, you would think they'd have bonus points averaged in and not be a 3 seed. This formula is supposed to figure in quality of competition as well if I understand right.

If you finish right behind someone you beat head to head.. you will flip flop with them in the final standings... so if what you are showing above ends up being the final standings.. Mountain Grove would move the 2nd and Strafford 3rd.. Now, it is important to know that you cant drop more than one spot.. So in this instance Liberty would stay 4th. The movement moves from top of the standings to the bottom

Dew, it does have the bonus points built in for playing up... They get ten points for playing up, divided by 9 games it ends up being 1.111 for each time they do it.

just win baby!!!!!! thats really all there is to it. there is obviously more in play then just that. but winning is the key. its going to be very interesting how this all plays out. Grove wins we prolly end as 2 seed, but if we lose we could fall all the way to 6. winner of the view houston game could go as high as 3 with a grove loss. so winner of that game hosts a playoff game regardless.

if you want the whole formula..
1. you get 20 for a win... 10 for a loss... add up the total and divide by 9 2. you get bonus points for every game you play up.. 10 pts per class about yours... add them up divide by 9 3. you get +/- points for margin of victory for every game.. a max of +/- 13 per game... add them up divide by 9 4. you determine your strength of schedule.. take the record of all opponents give them 20 for win and 10 for a loss.... subtract the points that you contributed by beating or losing to them.. divide by total of games played (usually 72) Add those four numbers and you get your district point total

It is the fairest version they have put out imo. Anything to keep real people from voting on the seedlings works in my book.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume Lamar is coming out of their district... If that is the case, would Ava, Grove, or Liberty all host the QF?
If my calculations are right Ava would host Lamar because both would have hosted equal games, but Ava is in the top bracket. View would host Lamar because they(most likely) would have to go on the road for a game against Ava, so since they would have hosted less games, they get the quarterfinal host. Grove would also host Lamar because they would have went on the road at least once to either play Ava(higher seed) or View because they were defeated by them in regular season?
Looks like regardless Lamar will be heading to SCA country 11/11

Can anyone confirm this?
