Been looking at the district brackets from around the state. I assumed Trinity Catholic would be on a collision course with Lamar again in the championship. Trinity is not even the 1 seed in their district. Lutheran North is and they have been rolling people, scoring over 79 pts in three games.
Anyone know anything about them? Their schedule maybe weak, but it is impressive that they seeded above Trinity

I don't know if this is why but looking at Trinity's schedule they had two teams forfeit....does that effect their district points at all?

Lutheran North has played a tougher schedule than Trinity. Both teams have had 2 schools forfeit games to them this year and both schools will have a bye in the first round of districts.
Before the season started, both schools had teams let them know they wouldn't play. Those two schools ended up playing each other. Lutheran North was able to pick up a game against an Indiana powerhouse and LN beat them handily. Both are private schools that are able to recruit players to their school. LN picked up a running back from a Class 6 school that rushed for over 1,000 yards last year. Trinity has 5 of the top 10 juniors in the state of Missouri. It is a little strange that one Class 2 school has more of the top juniors, than all the Class 6 schools combined.
Either one of these two schools is capable of winning it all. Trinity beat LN by a touchdown last year in the district championship.
Lamar? or Ava? will play one of these schools in the semifinals this year.

Private schools need to play their own league...period Yep and public schools could force this by refusing to play them until district play.

I think this Private school thing is blown out of proportion. Besides, it would be hard for me to feel bad for Lamar if somebody, ANYBODY beat them in the semis or finals.

I predicted Lamar to get beat by Trinity this season after watching last years game. I hope Trinity can beat LN and play Lamar again!

The way some folks carry on you would think Private teams win 4/5 out of 7 classes every year, which isn't the case at all.

I wonder if it will be a sense of relief in some way for Lamar when they do finally get beat? I mean, thats gotta be a whole lot of pressure put on by the community to keep winning.

No. It would not be a "sense of relief". This whole alleged recruiting thing and "will Lamar get beat" goes with the territory. The community backing is part of the reason for our success. We are going to keep on working hard, preparing for the next game and being blessed and fortunate to enjoy the success that we have experienced. Should the time come that we meet either Trinity or Lutheran North, we will prepare and, regardless of the outcome, they will know that they've been in a battle. I've got faith in our team and our coaching staff.

If you guys are still going to be "loaded" for awhile, do you think it would help to get either Lutheran North or Trinity on your regular schedule so you can at least have a look at them? I also know that said schools would have to be willing

Next year will be like 2015. Losing another loaded class and have to see what sophomores and juniors have been waiting on jv for their chance to shine. As for the schedule going forward with the big 8/coc small realignment we will always have a full schedule
