This prayer was submitted to me by the youth leader at First General Baptist in Willow (thank you Ryan!)
Dear Heavenly Father,
We want to thank you for yesterday, today, and you willing, our tomorrow. God we thank you for sending your Son to die for or transgressions that we may someday join you in heaven. But this Day father, we pray that you be with all the sports teams that are starting their state runs this evening. Keep all the players, staff, and families safe as we travel to and from the big games. Father sometimes these playoff runs test our patience and caring towards others and I know that we need to get mad and tough to focus our energy on winning. But I pray you give all the players and coaches the attitude of peace towards each other. God that we show great sportsmanship towards each other. God that we bring glory and honor to you through everything we do on those fields, on the sidelines, and in the stands. Let us be a blessing to you. Go with us now and keep us all safe. It's in your Sons Holy Name we pray. Amen
