Willow, Houston and Cabool are at Houston this Friday, Aug 17 at 7 p.m. Cuba was supposed to be with us but not sure what happened there.
Thayer, Liberty, and Grove are at West Plains I believe at 7 as well.

There's more chat in the CIA about stuff than sports here, I dont know what the big secrets are. I can post schedules and districts and there will be 100 views in an hour but nobody wants to discuss?? At Houston Willow's D looked as solid as I have seen it at a jamboree in years. They did not get scored on at all. The offense did score once but I think it was jv vs jv with Houston. We had another score but the play got blowed dead when the reciever caught the ball, ref said qb was in the grasp and trying to protect form injury. He wasnt but it's preseason for everyone including them, no complaints - Good crowd on hand for all 3 schools, cuba pulled out back in the spring but we didnt know that. Houston and Cabool were back and forth with eachother, and things got a little chippy at times but the coaches were quick about pulling players off the field, so nothing developed. Of course defenses are ahead of offenses at this time of year and that showed. All 3 have a lotta work to do, but I am sure nobody in the SCA was perfect last night.

Well, didn't get to see Thayer and Grove, was running late.Thayer and WP,Thayer just passed a lot.Did have some runs of a few yards.Class 4 team being a Class 4 team.Against Liberty, did fair.Liberty did score 2 times.Sling it down field and run under it.Thayer scored on the ground.Thayer has ALOT of work to do.Kinda small this year, might be a long season.

Thayer looked good...Defense was pretty stout. I'd say besides WP Thayer looked the best then Liberty and Grove was about the same. Might give slight edge to liberty but hard to say. Grove has some good hard working tough nosed kids but skills are not like in the past. The kids have some ability but they will have to play at 100% to compete.

West Plains and Thayer were the 2 best teams there.
Liberty showed some flashes.
Grove was not good, but they had some stout competition. I am sure they would have been the best team on the field at the Texas Co Jam
