Well, week 1 sure brought some surprises and a bit of chat on what the game of the week should be. As I look at the schedule and try to make a pick for game of the week I now look at Liberty/Bolivar. The Liberators put up 26 points on an Eldon team that was 8-1 last year. I dont know strength of schedule last year etc etc but in week 2 of a season can you really go by that ? Is Liberty that good/Richmond that bad? Well the answer to that is wait and see how the rest of this season goes and that is also why this game intrigues me. As always feel free to discuss or pick another game. I have recieved word that a few of our schools had key players out due to injury or discipline reasons. Willow was no different in that as we had both issues. So how much smoke/mirrors did week 1 put on us to pick a game of the week for week 2?

Not to take anything away from our boys, but Richmond was not good. We played decently, but im sure Bolivar will be better coached than Richmond was.

Definitely a good night for eagle nation. It was good to see that Richmond couldn't run the the ball against us. Saw alot of good out of the eagles but saw some things they'll definitely have to work on in there secondary. Saw alot of dropped passes as well. I believe they'll get to work on those issues and get them handled. As a eagle fan just not sure where we stack up against the liberators or against the sca in general. In my mind the jury is still out on the eagles.

The DB are a concern but getting better all 3 first year Players and at times looked good. They actually performed at a higher level than I for saw. FG had as much physical talent as any WR squad I’ve seen in a long time.

Lol we saw wr just as good last year in Aurora, Stafford, view...we (as Grover's) have to get through 2 more years and maybe our numbers will be back up..I to am hopeful we get better

For those who disagree on Liberty/Bolivar what about Salem/Dexter? What do we really know there? or any other games of choice?

Game of the week you mentioned Bolivar and View was a good pick. Watched game film on the liberators and I believe as a eagles fan we'll just be happy with getting out of there with a win. Toss up IMO. Just not completely sure how good the eagles actually are at this point? I watched that game against Richmond and wasn't really impressed with what I saw out of the eagles. Good offensive numbers but saw some things I Kno won't fly in sca play. There's more to football than just offense. It's early yet!

I think after Ava’s dismal performance last week that this will be a big game for them. I know nothing about Hallsville but if Ava wants to be taken seriously this year and to be a threat for winning conference and districts, then they have got to clean up the penalties. If there is no improvement this week then I will be very concerned about the season.

View's WR outside of one was not up to FG level.

The Seneca/Reeds game intrigue's me, from what I can tell a greater majority of people on this site are picking Seneca in this matchup. Maybe MOSOONER or anyone else feel free to shed some light on this matchup?

There can be a case made for Salem/Dexter but I will stick to my orginal pick and say Liberty/Bolivar was the game of the week. Feel free to discuss Here we go for a wild ride in week 3!
