Now before all the eagles posters get on butt I'm just gunna tell it like I saw it. First off I called this game a toss up just because Bolivar is 4A school, just figured the eagles would squeak it out. Heck of a effort by both teams. Run d seems to be stout for the eagles!!!!
Now as I observed just saw some passes hit ground and a TD dropped as well. What I just can't figure is why when the eagles had the ball on bolivars 4 yard line and it's 2nd down 2 pass plays was called in a row and we turn the ball over on downs. Sure makes this eagle scratch his head.
Imo the eagles should've won that game.
Guess that's just the way the pickle squirts so to speak. See highly successful season out of the eagles, just got to get to work.

That was a close ball game. Both defenses dominated in the first half with only one defensive touchdown. Too many mistakes i.e, overthrows and drops. Bolivar had really good team speed and closed on the ball well, something we will see out of some SCA teams. Second half things started opening up for both teams just a little bit. I have been fairly pleased with the line play so far out of the eagles. I think the coaches will watch film and wish we would have ran the ball a little more. All in all, we had our chances and it was a good game to watch. Ready for some conference play and see where we match up.

Liberty had their chances to win this one...geez, 3 goal line stands in that first half showed me their line is stout. Confidence and tentative play in a few areas on a couple of key plays was the difference. Boliver, while not a threat to win a state championship is still a C4 school which means they have size, speed and depth which most C2 schools don't have at the same time. I'm proud of our boys. They made a good showing but I know they have high expectations of themselves and aren't happy knowing they could have won it.
