Let's say within the last 15 years,which public school has had a successful varsity season in their first year of play.I know there are some that know.

Skyline was success pretty fast out of the gate.

Staley in the KC area was phenomenal

Hard to be any better than Staley.. They went 9-3 their first year. They went 11-1 and won their league their second year... and won a State Championship in year 4

I wouldn't really consider Staley in all this. Big difference between what Staley did and what Skyline did. Because of geography Staley poached many of the KC Northland's best players, guys who had been playing football all their life. They also got arguably the greatest coach in MO's history to helm them, and had the best facilities in KC from day one. That's not quite the same as a Skyline program starting from scratch with kids who never played period and winning a district title within the decade.
