A good Fair Grove team will be making what I think is their first ever trip to the hill this Friday night. Ava had quite the battle last week against a young Liberty team on the rise. I think the Bears will take care of things on their home field. Ava by 2 TDs. Question- will the winner of this game host Lamar or will they have to go to Lamar?

Ava hosted last year, so the winner of this district will go to Lamar. KY3 said Friday Night that Fair Grove only allowed 70 points all season. Yet I dont know their strength of schedule other than beating Strafford (who has a load of offense) twice.

I agree that Ava wins by 2 tds....posted that in another thread...But Liberty isn't that young of a team. Have 4 starters back on defense and about that many on offense. Losing #75,12,4,28,62,64,44,9 and 77 won't easily be replaced. Now I know Acklin is back and 5 is a dang good player already on defense, and I suspect 79 is going to blossom and 50 looked good in spot duty. But I didn't really see MV as a young squad on the rise, I saw MV as a older squad that started to finally gel and play up to their ability.

Definitely agree with your assessment of the eagles, we lost basically our starting off and def lines and a couple of recievers but our skilled position players are young. Both rb's will be back and our qb of course. Got alot to replace for sure, be interesting next year for sure.

I believe that if Ava wins, they will have to go to Lamar.(That is if Lamar wins) If Fair Grove wins, Lamar would go to Fair Grove.(Again, if Lamar wins.) Hoping for another Big 8 vs SCA showdown.

Looks like Ava easily took care of FG as most on here realized would happen.
