I have been an SCA fan for over 35 years. I have always loved the kids with the grit and pride they have for the game. I have admired and respected the coaches and how they have lead and molded their Programs. What really is amazing to me is the coaches the SCA has produced. Ary, Wyatt, Acklin, Weber, and Swofford have all proven that the SCA has developed coaches who can compete on the state level. Coaches Sloan and Rogers are the next ones who will lead their teams to the next level. I remember watching all these young men play and never realizing what was in their future but saw them as tough you SCA kids. Congrats to them all and I wish them the best. It is their job to develop the next generation of coaches. If I have missed anyone help me out to recognize them also. I know there are several outstanding assistant coaches that have played in the league. The SCA is a league that doesn't pride itself with the D1 players or the great facilities. It just has kids who love to play the game and have great community pride and spirit. Hey its Friday Night Lights

Possum's Dad Carl Williams won over 200 games...lead the Grove to a couple of semi-finals...he is up there as well. Schu of course and Larry Silvey from Ava can't be forgotten he put Ava on the football Map. And D. Meeks(SP) at Thayer was also darn good.

The original post was about the young men who played and grew up in the SCA and became Coaches.I think,David and Larry both fit that criteria. But Carl was from Arkansas and Schu was an outsider from St. Lou
