this time of year sucks an still have all summer left to go. You can watch the AAF but cant ever find when the game is on. so if I have time I like to catch up on some of the old classics..... i know it's been talked about before dont remember when maybe on the old forum but why not. BEST FOOTBALL MOVIE??? or your favorite sports movie either way something to visit about.

I was intrigued by the AAF but like you said, cant find a game on tv. I also thought it to be some competition to the NFL but it's bascially a development/jv league. Those players make some hits though!
Favorite movie of mine - Remember the Titans. That movie has a couple resemblances to the 1996 Bears especially towards the end.

My son in law actually got to referee some of those games. That's really neat! I do hope he got paid 1 more month till school is out. I hope the offseason programs do well. That is the time to prepare, especially if you got a coaching change or change of offense.

at least he is from the area, thats half the battle with all our local schools. We hire outsiders that have no roots and want to treat us all as stepping stones

Just finding coaches is hard today let alone local coaches, former players today from across the nation are not going into the profession and when they do they want to transition to administration to get a better wage.
Finding coaches is not a easy task compared to the past, jobs open up and the amount of suitable applicants is minimal.

thoughts on west plains??? Ary is gone, went to Harrison,Ar to assist Joel Wells. Matt Perkins is now the new head coach in WP. I think he will do pretty decent. WP did lose some talent but there's more there. He has learned a lot under Ary since he left Willow. The kids playing under him now were his as a jv coach, and he only lost 2 or 3 games with them in the last few years.

WP is going to drop big time

WP is going to drop big time You and I seldom disagree. I think they'll drop some but not big. Joplin is no longer in that conference and was replaced by Springfield Central. The other Spfld schools have had major drops and other than Glendale who is going to compete? Waynesville hasn't done squat in years. That leaves Lebanon and Camdenton as the powerhouses and WP could finish 3rd just because. It is being said that WP has hired Brandon Pitts as an assistant coach. So now Willow is a coach short on the smallest staff in the SCA.
