West plains, Thayer, Grove, Liberty Jam
Thought WP looked dominant at times. Of course, they should playing down 2-3 classes. Definitely not what they were a year ago though. QB and RB are real deal.
Thayer will be Thayer. Solid on the lines and fly to the ball defensively. They will be near the top of conference.
Grove defense looked to be ahead of their offense for now. Dont know how much they have as far as skill players, but impressed me on their defense.
Liberty will rely heavily on passsing attack. Offense was sporadic, but plenty of skill. Defense was good at times, but classic bend but dont break.

With that being said, it is just a jamboree.

Only 1 TD was scored in Willow by a kid from Cabool. Other than that nobody's offense scored.
This was the first contact vs another school Willow has seen (missed camps after the accident) but defense looked improved, quite a few int's.
Houston's (and 2 of Cabool's) linemen are welcome here, they're well fed!
39, 44, and 53 kids out on respective rosters - good numbers overall for all 3.
ZERO injuries
All 3 showed there's plenty to work on but I also think all 3 was trying to hide alot for week 1

Of course WP is going to shine against schools half their size.
I thought Thayer looked terrible. I picked them to win the SCA and I should probably reconsider after last night. But it is only the jamboree. So I will hope that was just a fluke.
Liberty was by far the best of the SCA schools there last night. They are not what they used to be, but they will be pretty solid this year.
Grove was average. They played hard.
Word I heard from Willow was that Houston did not look as good as most expected. All 3 teams looked average to below average.
Anyone see Salem or Ava?

Rating the WP Jam
WP by far the best not even close
Liberty was next but defense was just OK, offense is still gonna produce.
Thayer was next pretty solid all around, QB is athletic, OC had a lot of issues.
Grove was last as to be expected playing so many Soph and Frosh. We did play hard but a lot of mistakes and confusion at times. We will need a lot of seasoning in the first couple of games.

Curious if any Cabool posters here know what happened to the Overby brothers? Didnt see them listed on the roster. Both talented football players.
