Ava vs Buffalo on the hill - my pick for game of the week as both teams return a lot of experience and Buffalo won last year. Ava 20 Buffalo 18
Fair Grove vs. Mtn. Grove - The panthers are too young at the moment, but I've been wrong before. FG 30 MG 14
Willow vs. Strafford - in a normal circumstance Strafford wins and might anyhow. But with the dedication to 2 lost players and so much focus being on this home opener I'm taking the upset Willow 21 Strafford 14
Liberty vs Richmond - It wasn't close last year, I don't expect it to be this year either 35-14 Liberty. Is this game in Bolivar again??
Thayer vs Hayti - Hayti was to graduate a lot, I heard Thayer (no confirmation) lost a couple linemen due to lack of interest, this game goes either way but for now Hayti 20 Thayer 19
St. James vs. Salem - new coach and system for the Blue Tigers, the other tigers win this one 24 to 16
Houston vs. Sarcoxie - IF Ava/Buffalo isnt game of the week this one might be. Sarcoxie returns all but 3 players if I read right and Houston has a ton of players too - Houston 14 Sarcoxie 12
Cabool vs. Doniphan - New coach and system for the Bulldogs as well but Doniphan is still new all the way around - Dogs 35 Dons 12
Reeds Spring vs. Nevada - Word is Reeds is much younger than normal this year but Nevada hasnt done much over the years. Reeds 30 Nevada 16
Webb vs. CJ - I honestly have no clue but based on history if you want to beat Webb you get them early in the year. CJ 20 Webb 18
I know I picked against more conference teams than I wanted. I really hope I am proven wrong and we go 8-0 to start the season. Good luck everyone

Buffalo- they have kept building on last years success....
Fair grove- They will dominate until they face Lamar....again...
Strafford- Man oh man I hope that I am wrong on this one....
Liberty- Lets see how far this goes....
Hayti- Don't go against the reigning state champs!....
Salem- Weren't they the cream of the crop at one time....
Houston- Sarcoxie didn't impress at the Jamboree but whatever lol....
Cabool- Maybe the only win this year....
Reeds Spring- Why not?....
Webb City- See above....

Ava- I still think the Bears were the better team last year. Buffalo wont sneak up on them again
FG- Saw Grove this summer. When that youth matures they will be just fine... but not ready for FG just yet
Strafford- Emotions will run high for Willow,if this were a movie they win, sorry Dew
Liberty- I know nothing about Richmond.. I keep thinking they are the Spiders (like the University)
Hayti- this will be a great game.. Hope Im wrong
St James - tough one to pick.. I remember when Salem was nails... new coach may get them back, just not yet
Houston - I dont think last year was a fluke... Houston is on the rise
Cabool- I dont pick them often... but I do here and they WILL reward my confidence
Reeds Spring- Young Wolves make the long trip to Nevada. Beat them for the third time in just over a year
Webb City- Offense may not be what they have been but the defense is... Cards get the win
