Lord,
We thank you for another week, for another day, for another football season. Lord, there are a lot of heavy hearts today. I especially ask for your blessings over the Joplin Community. There are a lot of people hurting right now. I ask you to please comfort that football team, that school, and that community. I ask that you be with the family of the young man that was lost.
Football is just a game, it is something that connects all of us, on this board, but in the grand scheme of things its only a game. I ask that we better see that the greater connection for us all is through you.
Lord, I ask for the safety of all players tomorrow night. I ask for the safety of all those traveling. Lord I ask that our actions be for the Glory of You.
Thank you for all you do for us... NONE of us are worthy, yet you bless us anyway. Thank you for your son. Thank you for loving us when we do not deserve it.
May all the Glory be to you...
