mosooner,
what did you think of the game? I thought both teams played a bit sloppy. As for Lamar, they don't have the linemen that they have had in the past. Size and depth could be a problem down the road. They have some very good skill position players that are very young. For Lamar, the gauntlet of the Big 8 will have them ready for Class 2 come district time. That is, if they can stay healthy.
I was impressed with the play of Reeds Spring linebacker #39 Cramblett. The last time I saw a player have that kind of impact on a game was the linebacker for Mt. View Liberty from about 4 years ago.(Sorry, I can't remember his name). The quarterback is a very elusive type runner, although he didn't show much of an arm. Cramblett is also a stud on offense. Reeds should be clicking on all cylinders come district time. The problem is, their district is loaded.

I think both teams have things they need to clean up But I did like the physical nature of the game. The Wolves are still learning the new offense. What a year not to have a normal off season. There is no doubt the Wolves dont have the horses they had a few years ago but this bunch will line up, play hard, and punch you in the mouth. I loved the atmosphere and the class of the Lamar folks. Many times when you have a school with that kind of success it means arrogance. I found nothing but class among the players and the crowd. Would love to have won, but it was a good trip.
