assuming we actually get to play... we will be headed that way for the first time Week 2. So that leads to a VERY IMPORTANT question.... As important as just about anything else...
If we wait until we get to Lamar to eat.... Where should I go for a pregame meal?

mosooner have two recommendations for you and both are non-chain restaurants. The first is Mother Tucker's Pizza, it a really good pizza place www.mothertuckerspizza.com/. The second choice is Tractor BBQ, good hamburgers and BBQ! The following link is to an online menu for Tractors BBQ www.lamarmo.com/tractors.htm. I don't think Lamar has ever played Reed Springs before have they?

Dew: There are not a lot of choices IN Clever. Flat Creek expanded a year or two ago and opened a location in Republic, its pretty awesome. Or Bairs All-American Sports Grill in Nixa for an incredible burger would do the job as well, for you.

Sorry,,, late to the post, here. Like Griswold said, Tractors if you want decent smoked meats AND a cocktail. The pork tenderloin sandwich is quite good, as well. Burgers are good.. Brisket, pulled pork and the smoked wings are pretty darn good, too! Mother Tuckers is also a great option for Pizza and/or sandwiches. They've got an enormous outdoor, covered seating area that is very enjoyable, looking out over the golf course. You can get buffet (great salad bar and bountiful pizza options) or you can order what you want. Sorry, no alcohol.
You might want to consider alcohol before coming to the game, though.... It will help dull that pain that is coming.... HA HA !!! YEP ! I went there !!!

Hope the Tigers are thinking that... Seriously, not sure what to think yet. Wolves are very low on numbers, still learning a new offense, and didnt really learn a lot Week 1 even though they cruised. Would love to have come over there with the team we had a couple of years ago. Happy to finally get to witness Lamar on a Friday night, have been looking forward to this trip since the expansion of the league. I just love small town Football.. Nothing beats it Have really been considering driving a little out of the way and going to Pittsburg, KS for some Fried Chicken before the game... but may take your word for it and check out Tractors.

If you need directions for Chicken Annies or Chicken Mary's (my preference), just shout. They're not quite in Pittsburg and only about 20 minutes from Lamar. Barto's in Frontenac, KS is also a good choice. I'd join you at Tractor's just to meet n greet but I'll be at the field setting up sound and then running chains.... best seat in the house.

We opted for Tractors. Would have liked to have met you as early as I get to games there was plenty of time. I always set up early in case something goes wrong with equipment. Maybe next year in Reeds. Hopefully we will get another good game.
