I was born and raised in Hannibal and man that rivalry was always talked about. I went Kindergarten til start of sophomore year in Hannibal then I became a Salem Tiger in November of 1999 and couldn’t have came to a better place the tradition of Salem Tiger football was about the same as the pride and joy they had in Hannibal. Hannibal has always fielded some pretty awesome teams but a lot of times they’d run into a very very good Helias team so they didn’t just have 1 Jeff City school on the schedule they’d have to deal with both. But hey I’m pretty happy that they finally got over that Jays hump and now they look to have a pretty good team again this season.
