Ava at Thayer
Cabool at Liberty
Salem at Grove
Houston at Cass Midway (Cleveland, Mo)
Reeds Spring vs McDonald County
Buffalo at Fair Grove
Lighthouse Christian at Skyline
Clever at Stockton
Nixa at Webb City
Inside the conference Cabool/Lib looks to be the pick of the week for me, Salem/Grove wont be bad either. But that Nixa/Webb Game sure looks enticing!!

If we are really talking "Game of the Week" my picks for the top two teams in the league, in my preseason poll, go head to head. Its the defending champs against the small school that may just be better than everyone in the league. Give me the little guys. Thayer 31 Ava 28

I'm going Thayer vs AVA....Thayer 28..Ava 21 in a barn burner of a contest. I think Ava is going to give them a game.
Oh how new INFO can change things......with Miller gone and hearing Skyles as well then this could be a route by Thayer.......SO SEE BELOW POST!!!

I was thinking Ava would give Thayer a good game but I just found out that Zack Miller is out for the season with a knee injury, prayers for this young man would be very appreciated. I was also told that one of our other main ball carriers quit the team today. I'm thinking Thayer 30, Ava 6 in that game.

We live in a time where all these kids need to take advantage of every oppurtunity they have. I hope that kid reconsiders. Prayers for Mr. Miller

Im not speaking specifically about any kid or school here but I see this becoming more common every year. Kids don't want to be held accountable and the parents just don't support the coaches like they used to. Of course some do but I think as time goes on that percentage has definitely dropped. Coaches can't be nearly as hard on kids as they used to or a lot of the kids will just quit. It's sad that some people don't understand a lot of coaches are trying to teach young men how to be grown men and get them ready for the world they are getting ready to walk out into.

Kids are kids, things change over time sure but every year things like this happen and they have been happening for years. I personally find the excuse that kids have changed for the worse to be lazy, but honestly I don't know much. I do think the best coaches adapt over the years, but you can't save em all.
In other news, I think Skyline vs LC is not going to be close at all. Skyline wins that one big. The Game of the week is either gonna be Buffalo vs FG or Nixa vs Webb City. Webb City's only loss was to Joplin by one, while Nixa beat Joplin by one. I just can't see this Webb City team losing another regular season game so this time around I'm picking Webb City. Once we get to rd. 2 between these two, I'm picking Nixa. For this week's game of the week, I'm going WC 32 Nixa 27

Going LC vs Skline LC..28 Skyline 35 After seeing what Skyline did to FG, I'm thinking they're more in the Thayer, Mid Buc, Hayti class in C1. I really don't know much about LC but if they can hang with Skyline I think they could easily compete in the SCA or with Thayer.
