My liberty brethren, stop blaming mshsaa for a bad system. They did not lose a game to Fair Grove. Liberty did. Beat that awful private school in the semi finals and show everyone the rankings were off. But we might find out that awful private school is pretty good at football and may deserve that 1 seed too. time will tell.

I have it on pretty good authority that no one inside that locker room cares one bit what they're seeded, who they're playing, or where they have to go. The fans and parents might be a different story, but the real Eagles are ready to go anywhere against anyone and give it their best shot |

Not a fan of the current system....better than the two teams from 4 team district advancing, but not as good as the first system of winner take all from a 4 team district. But with that said it's the system so win or lose...get seeded and make the best of it.

I personally think this is the best system we've ever had. Was it prepared to accommodate multiple cancellations this year? No. But other than that it's been pretty good I must say.

The system is fine. People complaining about Liberty being the 4 seed is almost as silly as the goobers upset about the west plains video going around. |

Well The way I'm thinking is everything has been screwed up this year and it's a miracle that we even have school so far and that our loved ones are getting a chance to play in sports this year . Just chill out and enjoy the fact that we made it this far without them calling off the whole danged season , our kids are having fun let them play . It's just a game . Que sara sara . It could always be worse ..... much worse .

Never a fan of seeding and points based on some EGG head system.
I prefer to just let teams play each other and losers go home winners advance. The whole thing is then decided on the field. In the old system 4 teams played 3 games winners moved on and losers stayed home. Simple fair and effective. Now it’s some convoluted system put together to try and engineer it so that teams can advance to a perceived level based on their random schedules.
What WP video and such?

The point system is what it is, but at least you can only advance by winning. You play 9 games in preparation for the 10th and everyone has a fair shot because regardless of your seed it's win or go home and you can't beat that. Even the 4 team district had flaws because as is the case with pool play there wasn't always a definitive best team and it came down to nonsense like point spreads, and wouldn't you know it we're suddenly back to egg head equations determining not just seeds but the winner of the whole tournament! And in the Facebook group Dew shared a video of the West Plains RB allegedly getting attacked by a Bolivar coach. Which wasn't the case at all and just about everyone outside of West Plains and the kids mother could tell there wasn't much going on there that wasn't typical. There was a post about it on MoSports too, mosports.forums.rivals.com/threads/west-plains-21-bolivar-42-final.50462/#post-438348 unsurprisingly most of the folks on there didn't see much to be concerned with either. The thread on Mosports has a video of the incident since you say you aren't on Facebook where Dew originally shared the video. |

Thanks I'll check it out....people are to thin skinned and always looking for boogie men....Yeah I've never faced booked or twitter etc. Just not my thing. But people do show me stuff from their account on occasion. I do agree that this system is better than the OLD OLD point district system...and way better than the 4 team two teams advance system then cross bracketing. I'm just old school and like the original 4 team district style with a head to head battle usually deciding it all. |
