Several games could be game of the week this week. It's hard to beat a team twice. Earlier this year Liberty suffered a blowout to Fair Grove but now those folks are riding high and Fair Grove has maintained all season. This has a 2007 Cabool/Grove feel to it (sorry Jordan and MGHS  ) as Grove blew Cabool off the map early that season. This game is on the road however so I just don't know. I'm going out on a limb and taking Liberty to get er done 22 to 18 over Fair Grove. |

Game of the week is DEW vs Deer. This will be a tough one. Dew eats a good breakfast then hits the woods with nothing more that a thermos full of coffee and two bologna and cheese sandwiches and of course his favorite gun . He gets his first opportunity early as a doe comes by followed by a smallish Buck.. He decides to wait. Little did he know it would be a while before he sees anything else. He breaks open one of those sandwiches and hears something...... two more small ones... after finishing his sandwich he actually nods off for a bit (up too late getting scores) and dreams of Willow Football Glory Days fill his head... with a big smile on his face, he is suddenly awaken. There in front of him, only 45 yards away stands a proud 12-pt buck. With the swiftness of the great Bears running backs of yesteryear he grabs his gun, takes aim, and drops the animal. Dew 1 Deer 0
That should be enough to win... but just in case.. Marionville 35 Lockwood 34

Well I did get 1 but it was 10 points short of what MoSooner predicted. I did see a nice doe first but couldn't get a shot off. The rain messed up the lunch menu so I ate at Willow Tree instead. Dropped a big spike at 2:30 p.m. When the rain quit they were running all over. I could have dropped 2 more does after that but they were tiny and no sense in tagging out on opening day. And I was in bed by 9"45 |
