What are the rules about a called game? Great question that I would like the answer to as well. It is hard for me to understand how Strafford would have been ok with calling the game in the 3rd. Maybe if it was 40-6. But a W is a W.

I understand about an "act of God" like a Storm or something but could it be, Strafford had to forfeit because of it being Their field, their lighting equipment? If not, what if Liberty was behind?
When is a game a completed game?

In most cases, as long as a game is in the 2nd half the officials have the ability to call the game, if the safety of players is in question and it will be considered official. A game that enters the second half can also be considered official if both coaches agree to call it, and the current score will stand as final.

Thanks mosooner. I kinda thought that safety would be at the discretion of the officials but I wasnt sure, being it was a technical issue, if the home team had to bear the responsibility. I hate to see any game get shortened or canceled because so few are played in comparison but I understand it isn't easy to finish or reschedule one. When I played I hated the turbo clock, even when we were getting our asses kicked. I just wanted to play.
