QB down....is why. Losing a player like TW is a huge blow.

QB down....is why. Losing a player like TW is a huge blow. Ava is the fav now. At least they should be. We will see just how good MVL is. I already feel the O line and D line are thin and small. In comparison to last year at least. Ava If those players truly make that much of a difference that were hurt last year gel it’s should be Ava’s to win.

Injuries really take their toll even on deep teams. ...in 2019 I thought Grove had the ability to win between 4 and 5 games. We ended up losing 7-8 starters over the course of that season, versus Cabool we ended up playing our Backup JV OG. We played competitively at times but injuries can really derail a season.

QB down....is why. Losing a player like TW is a huge blow. Nothing against TW because he is a great player, but of all the positions on the field QB is probably the one that LIberty is the most able to deal with an injury. The next guy in line is pretty good. Kind of how Thayer was able to deal with the injury they had last year.

OH I agree Pruitt is a good one, but having one less Good one to deal with makes it easier for the opposing team. It also makes a OC/HC a bit more restrained, don't want to get that last QB hurt. That could be catastrophic.

I just browsed through the enrollment numbers for the Teams in Groves districts...
Seneca=344 Hollister=348 Grove=359 Buffalo-393 Aurora=415 RS=465 Cassvega=471
In this case it does look like the larger enrollment schools are trending to be better squads with more talent to pull form. The Difference between Seneca and Cassvega is a 127 students if roughly half of those 127 are boys..that's 63 boys more to choose from and if you only get 2 or 3 good players from that 63 it makes a huge difference on the field. Even the difference between Grove and Cassvega is a 112 students or roughly 50 boys difference more to choose from. If you do he math on RS and Aurora its still a pretty significant spread. After that it's basically a statistical wash.

Aurora's numbers surprise me... it was only 3-4 years ago that they and RS were close, actually Aurora had 1 more student ... looking at the numbers it looks like they went from 440 or 390 in one year... 50 students in a single year?... that is a 12% drop in a single year. Dont know about the rest.. But RS may have less out for football than any of them.
