Im not sure how you can really talk football without discussing the coaches or the players. I get deleting certain posts if people are being attacked but this board is barely hanging on as it is.

Dew I appreciate all the effort you have put into this board. But if posters are not able to critique and criticize fellow posters, coaches, players and programs then what is the point? Discussion and banter is the whole point of message boards. Without that type of discussion then all we have is a place to pick scores a few months out of the season. I don't think any poster here is going to come on here and be out right hateful or mean spirited to a Fellow Poster, Coach or player. I've not seen that on here ever. If a poster, player, coach or any of their family and friends get their feelings hurt then so be it that is part of life and the growth process. It could well help them develop the necessary coping skills to be better human beings. Again it's your board and I respect your decisions, although my analysis is that they are counter productive to the growth and continued existence of this platform. If the patrons that come here feel awkward and uncomfortable in posting anything even slightly analytical then they will probably just lurk a few minutes and then never bother to engage because why bother if their voice is going to being silenced. Once debate and discussion is hindered you no longer have a public forum of free expression. This! I understand there is a line but I don’t think this board has ever come close to crossing it. To me criticizing of coaches, fans, programs, communities are all fair game. Just don’t call out individual players. The old board was great because of all of the trash talk and banter between fan bases. It wasn’t just score predictions and polite conversation. |

Thanks for the support but while I'm a big believer in what I posted, I also see the Admin. side of things as well. I know his identity is known inside his community and he has and does take flak for this board and what is posted at times. There are A lot of thin skinned people in this day and age and if they can they will try to pressure someone using means and ways that a lot of us wouldn't. So I know it is a balancing act for the Admin. as he doesn't live in a Vacuum. So I respect his decisions.
The reason I posted what I did is because I'm passionate about this board. It in one form or another it has been around a long time and it has brought me and others a lot of enjoyment. I want it to continue and to thrive, even grow if that is possible in this day and age. I really believe us hardcore posters want the same thing. And I know the Admin. does as well because he has taken the time and effort to keep this thing going without any compensation or reward outside of the joy he get's from posting on this site. A effort that I applaud and cheer. Thanks You for that time and effort.
