Darn that will curtail a lot of the fun..I get not being degrading and demeaning to either group. But honest and forthwith critiquing of a players performance without getting personal should be allowed and I hope it will be.   

Now as far as Coaches go I think the boundaries should be a bit wider. They are taxpayer payed employee's and adults. They are not some protected class who are above the regular folks that pay their salaries. There are a myriad of interweb places where Doctors, Lawyers, Plumbers, Electricians, Car dealers are critiqued and criticized. And doing so is a necessary and valued service. I'd hope people would inform me about Sub par medical professions, or slicker car dealers and shady contractors.  In fact I think most people would look down on anyone who with held information about any shoddy work done in any of these or other area's. 

The same can be said for coaches who don't do the necessary things to fulfill their obligation to the players they coach and the community. Of course each community and school district can have a different set of bench marks that can be met. 

Now with that said, I get that falsehoods, lies and out right shameful statements can't be allowed if malice is the intent. I 100% agree with removing those type of statements. But well thought out and valid statements about coaches and their abilities that don't veer into the personal attack mode...well I hope that some of that evaluation would be allowed. If not then this board will see even more of a reduced rate of traffic.

Of course this is your world and we are just renting space so we must adhere to the policies you set. But I'd hope you don't have to heavy of a hand. 

I can see both sides of the coin. but when the question is asked why this site is a ghost town you have your answer.
I will say when I was a mod on the old site, I had to take off my Grove colored glasses and try to not take anything personal. and I can promise that anything negative said about Grove I tolerated more then all the other schools. Reverse Bias if you will.

Jordanearl you and BulldogDad did a LOT more moderating than I've had to here, and it was sure appreciated at least by me. I deleted the thread because it was the same dang argument for the last year since the season ended, then it got to dragging others in when their past has been gone from here quite some time. I remember you guys had to delete a lot of posts about not only coaches but students as well.
I'm trying to follow a pattern I've watched happen down at the race track in WP. The owner has caught flack from fans and drivers alike because they'd say "well at Flippin, Batesville, Wheatland they allow ... and you don't" and he'd always respond with "we all have the same rules and I will enforce mine". It took some time but folks are finally coming back around and understanding why he's doing what he's doing along with the fact the other tracks enforce their rules too.
As far as this site being a ghost town, the old site was dang near dead before the hackers destroyed it and Mr Pierce gave it up. The SCA facebook pages have very little talk on them either. Everyone can get scores from the Ozone or some twitter thing along with the fact that MoSports trolls have ruined the message board business in the state of Missouri. I have done everything I can think of to get talk going more on here and that's why I let some things go, just to see if we could get more responses from folks and actually talk about things. But Social Media (you can count this as a social site too) has become more anti-social lately than social. I have even asked for suggestions and have recieved ZERO input. The only time the Facebook page gets any attention is Friday Night updates. I want it to be different.
For those who want to say or think I don't know what I'm doing, well you're right. I just wing it half the time but I do at least try, and will continue to try.

I'm not sure what happened. But I see the thread I last posted in is gone. Never read any post on it after mine. The old days are gone of the SCA board. We sure had some fun on there I will say.

There’s always been “trolls” on mosports, but it’s always following a theme. And it’s a far superior messenger board. No offense to this one. I’m glad this one can pick up stream. But with overly sensitive people leading the charge on censoring peoples speech? It won’t truly live. It’s sad people can’t tease and talk crap about sports. Before politics got involved it was still one of the only escapes FROM that kinda stuff. Trolls haven’t made mosports or any message board “less fun” or “ruined” it. Peoples attitudes have changed.
