seems ws is having alot kids quarantined yesterday an today. it effected softball an volleyball. fri??? I know 4-5 starters are now out.

Man that is bad for WS...Feel for Wyatt and Coach Mac.....We lost a Starting OL/DL last week and another versus Ava. Depth is always paramount to success. We are getting thin for sure. But not as bad as WS.

Congrats to Grove you guys were more physical and most times that wins the game. I thought we would give a better showing but the usual liberty issues seem to be in place. You would think at some point we would make some adjustments.

Thanks, MV is young up front and without the two stud QB/RB and Ripko pulling QB duties it clearly hamstrung MV offense and made the eagles very one dimensional. The freshman Qb Reese will be a stud it appears.
I was a bit surprised the defense was so off kilter and we gashed MV with the run.

You would think at some point we would make some adjustments. What adjustments would you suggest? Sometimes it's not the X's and O's, it's the jimmies and Joe's and right now we don't have the beef. We only have 3 players over 200 lbs and our top two players are out. Not a whole lot you can do imo. |

I think in the past Bonehead has mentioned MV offensive scheme being so pass oriented and heavy. If I recall he’s related that issue to their lack of playoff success as well factoring in the weather as well. I might be wrong and it was another poster who talked about that but I think it was him.

If that's the case then I would have to agree on the overall philosophy. I've always thought we were a little too pass reliant for bad weather playoff games. At some point you need to pound the ball and be successful. Currently, using speed is our only option.

Yeah my point is not specific adjustments for the last game, but an overall philosophy. We have to be able to run the ball inside the tackles and be able to stop the run effectively. We have never been able to do those things for the long term. We do it in short bursts, but there is never really a commitment to it. We can throw the ball and run on the edge really well. But teams that have long term success have to play physical tackle to tackle. So therefore we pound the Willows of this world, but we struggle when we face the tough playoff tested teams-ava, thayer, lamar and Grove on friday night. They were more physical in the box.

Bonehead and others have been asked to leave the coach criticizing alone. There was a post in my mind to stir the pot against Bonehead and I deleted it along with the response (response wasn't bad but to keep the peace...). I know that some on here don't agree with me but if he has been civil the last few days and it's not fair for anyone to poke him on those subjects. So once again, move forward folks
