Not much respect I see for RS ...have to say they gotta be one of the best 7 seeds in the land. Got a Division 1 TE/DE and a huge OL/DL that plays with him 6'1 300,6'4 250(D1 guy),5'10 200, and 6'2 230 on DL. OL is just as big playing the 6'1 300 bills, 6'2 230 from the DL plus a 6'1 265, and a couple of 6'0 250+ guys. They Dwarf our OL and DL size wise...not to mention the stud TE who is clearly a physical specimen.
Clearly they showed their mettle by avenging their loss to Hollister, and they played Aurora very very tight, leading by 14 points at one point in the game before Ian Jackson bowed up and took control for the Hound dogs.
This game will be a Big Cat and Large Canine fight for sure, with RS in some ways being the favorite if you take a analytical look at the size and depth of each team. We are playing at home which is worth a bit. But RS clearly has the talent to walk away with a victory.

Thayer.... this will be over by halftime.. plenty of warm apple cider and hot chocolate will be enjoyed on a cold celebratory night

RS- Grove big favorites here. RS still rolling with 4th and 5th string RBs. But I will still roll with my guys
Ava.... Not going to say its already over... But the Bears have already scored twice
Aurora... I may regret this pick. Houns are the favorite but Seneca has a real chance in this one
Rolla... The Bulldogs are playing well right now. Beat two of the top three in the district in weeks 8 and 9
Lighthouse... beat those Kansas boys
Joplin... Joplin is the better team. They won the first meeting, as long as they are back to full strength they win again

And we are iffy up front with one of our best OL/DL. Hope he get's healthy fast. RS played Aurora real close, as Close as anybody that didn't beat the Hound Dogs. You Beat the Number two Seeded team as well. And let's not pretend that 17# isn't a fast and quick RB. He hits the hole better than #23 or #33 he doesn't have the power of those two but he makes up for it with pure quickness and speed. RS clearly has a size advantage up front as well. The Big8 is a traditionally stronger conference because of the Enrollment differences in the schools. The SCA bigger schools often are on the bottom end of Class 3 with Grove and Ava hopping back and forth between the two classes. Aurora-415 Cassvega-471 EN-291 Hollister-348 Lamar-285 Logan-ROG-545 Marshfield-676 Mac CO-798 Monett-540 Mt.Vernon-326 Nevada-574 Reeds Springs-465 Seneca-344 Springfield Catholic-283 Compare that to the SCA with Salem as our Biggest School at 407 and Grove Next with 359 and two schools with less that 151 in enrollment the size difference is pretty vast. |
