heard a few different variations, but basically Wyatt interviewed/was being considered by Dexter HS for a coaching vacancy. One of their boosters posted on Facebook lobbying for school board support to consider an outside hire vs. going internal promotion route they had typically been doing. from there only a few people would know the facts. but rumor is he pulled his name from consideration. as far as everyone knows Wyatt is still the Willow Head Coach and nothing other then a feeler was put out for a potential coaching change. I'm sure a lot of feathers were ruffled in willow about it, but they also need to understand that a coaches job is never 100% secure and just like any other working professional a person should always be looking out for themselves to be able to make a living. The person in the wrong here in my opinion was the facebook poster that should have been speaking to her school board members in private.

As of last night from a couple people I talked to during our basketball game, what Jordanearl said is as accurate as I have it as well. Yes there's some ruffled feathers and I can see points from all ends on this. I also have no confirmation but we're looking for at least 2 assistants to help with the program. I personally feel we need more than that and not use the bare minimum but the coach knows what he wants and we don't. Also becuase this thread is called "any news" - Billy Webber just took a job in Salem, Ar as the head Jr High coach. I really figured he was headed to Highland from the sources down there last year but it shows you never know. May he enjoy Arkansas Football and get more retirement from them  |

I heard Wyatt turned the Job down at Dexter, which is a plus for WS. If a school inquires about a coach that coach has to do his do diligence and check it out. It sucks for the fans but coaches have careers and families as well.
With that said I was rooting for him to go to Dexter…lol. WS getting a coach as good as Wyatt is slim and none. And I was Also interested in seeing Dews head explode if Wyatt left …so close to crossing that off the bucket list!!

Job was his if he wanted it. He wanted the job. But had to turn it down.

I did love the Bearcat post ... Clever. The watching episodes of "Dexter" deserves recognition as well.
we have the creativity out there, we just need to get people to use it more in the off season and get this board, jumping...

Not SCA but local. Matt Perkins is no longer a Zizzer - headed to Columbia  News release didn't say what school, but with Hickman having struggled lately my guess is there |

I’d say it could happen, wife could stay at WS and Wyatt would be a great fit in Zizzer land. Got talent and knows how to coach it!!
