I heard they might hire the WP DC has the new Aurora HC? Looks Like I called that one!! Pitts a Hound dog. I wonder if a current Hound dog might not eye Howell County? Two DC's at the same school might be one to many.

Coach Wyatt doesn't owe Willow Springs anything. Maybe there should be talk about why administration at the school made promises and they've done nothing to keep their word. Hard to blame a coach for much when he gets to school and doesn't have enough players to even field a JV team.

Not sure this is fair, considering JW got hired in the middle of June. Kids want to play for a winner. When I was in high school Willow was a football school who won multiple conference championships and dominated the SCA. It can get there again, but judging a guy who has 6 weeks to get ready to play against teams who've been developing kids for years isn't fair. But if the players are not going to take to disciplined, proven coaching and elect to dribble and shoot instead because the commitment is easier, well the writing is on the wall. I'm not saying WS can't get back to being good but let's be real the issue hasn't been coaches.... Ummmm..... have you met Mike Wilson or Dustin Forrest? Discipline and proven coaching isn't missed here at all. We wanted more coaches like these 2 in everything we could get which is one reason that we wanted Wyatt/Ary/someone like them here. And for the comment made about not having a jv (amacomo I think) I've been told by many that Wilson talked some kids into playing football before Wyatt got here. Our basketball coach has encouraged our kids to do more than one thing and all they can. Plus he helped a retired basketball coach and an AD paint and work on the football field this year. This in my mind has more to do with 17 years of not making investments in the program. And also those that have came here lately knew what they were getting into. Nobody here expected a 1 year turnaround out of anyone taking the coaching job and that needs to be realized.

Willow is not a "basketball town". I get sick of hearing that from everyone. If that were true come to a game and see how many extra seats there are, and the 15 member student section we have. And this with a winning team who right now has a chance to be an SCA champion or co/tri-champion. This town, as much as I hate to say it, has got to have some culture change wherever that comes from. And the culture has changed some, but we need more of it.
While I'm on the soapbox, I am not going to be popular in Willow for saying this but Bonehead is right, it doesn't look good for a hero welcome and then be gone (don't fall over bonehead me agreeing with you ) . There has been more investment and enthusiasm over FOOTBALL lately than anything else. This whole town was all in. If we wind up searching for another coach again it's going to be really hard for the townspeople to believe anyone is going to stay, and what's left of the program will be hard to get going. Yes, there's blame to be pointed from any direction and can be proven true. But this circus needs to come to an end and dang fast.

It can get there again, but judging a guy who has 6 weeks to get ready to play against teams who've been developing kids for years isn't fair. That was a Ary anomaly....historically WS is a Basketball school. Sure on occasion if all the athletes stay out WS is competitive in football but that is not the Norm, if you say SCA football WS usually doesn't come to mind as a upper echelon team..... Wyatt isn't the issue at all, he can coach and coach well. But if the players are not going to take to disciplined, proven coaching and elect to dribble and shoot instead because the commitment is easier, well the writing is on the wall. I'm not saying WS can't get back to being good but let's be real the issue hasn't been coaches.... This is the real heart of the issue and something I have been saying for years. Willow fans have always wanted to blame it on coaches but that is not at the top of the list. How many of their former coaches are doing just fine now? Lots. Amaco clearly is a former ary and wyatt player who seems thru that lens. Understandable but no reality any more. From what I gather the admin there is working towards fulfilling promises made. Things can’t be changed in a couple months and he clearly knew what he was getting into. And the new superintendent is someone who will be supportive. So those excuses dont hunt

Dew doesn’t understand if the student athletes don’t want to play football and basketball is their main focus then WS is a basketball town. I get football has its hard core supporters in the stands but in general outside of the Ary era of football..Brent Colley basketball has been the star on the willow tree.

I have been told that the admin has been working towards them. Things are not going to change overnight.

Any Rumor's on what Acklin is gonna do? He is going back to Mtn. Home. interesting that he left for 1 year and then bouncing back. is that due to not having enough years in MO Teaching? that among a few other things were the rumors' on why he came back
