I was thinking of trying to put together an All-Time SCA team... and while I am certainly not qualified to do so... Some people on here are... I may still try to do that, with some of the responses, I get, BUT after thinking about it, why not just go position by position and tallk about some of the best to ever play in the league... Its a great way to try to keep the board, at least warm, with some, interaction...
so, lets start with QB
who are some of the best signal callers the league has ever seen?.... come on, there are no bad answers...

Casey White is the career passing yards leader for Grove with 4940 yards. 21 TD's for a season high 43 career. Emery had 45 TD's Would say Statistically Tyson Elliot should break all the records for a career if he has the senior year most expect
26 TD's and 1876 17 TD's and 1652 I don't have his limited Freshman season numbers. but would estimate he needs 2 TD's and 1200 yards to be all time leader in both.

From a purely athletic standpoint the answer is Jaelon Acklin. But from a more pure QB mold you can choose one of the other Liberty QBs that have come thru the pipeline. French, Yarber, Gastineau, Pruett
Eckman from Thayer is up there.
Emery was the best QB to play in Grove IMO.
Hicks from Willow.
Ava has had a few. Can't think of their names off top of my head.

ws has had some decent Brett Foster in 95 Josh Henry had a really good senior year in 99. Hicks was a good athlete yes shame he got hurt great battles vs grove. wasn't it Jr year hicks got hurt an gum came in an then the senior year hicks played wr w gum at qb?? I'm prob wrong memory not so good.

He did play qb against warsaw in the playoffs but we were already beat and too little too late

Eckman was the class 1 offensive player of the year but Thayer was not a part of the SCA at that time.

I'd say Brett Mitchell from Ava is the best QB they've had IMO. He could throw and Run. Was smart and also was a dang good College player as well. I rarely think of Ava and traditional QB's even before the Flexbone was the system.. Seems like they always have more of a Running threat of a QB who can throw just a bit to keep the Defense honest.

I was wondering how long it would take someone to mention Mitchell. He was the first to come to mind, in my head, when I thought about this...
